Call for submission: App Development For Parliamentary Public Participation Competition
Article 118 1b of the constitution of Kenya 2010 on public participation states that “Parliament facilitate public participation and involvement in the legislative and other business of Parliament and its committees“.
In recent times, public participation has experienced a number of challenges such as the lack of respondents to physically contribute on pertinent issues. There is therefore a need to develop a mobile application platform for public participation on legislative processes. This will foster inclusivity and enhance public participation.
We call on individuals and ICT hubs across the country to register for a competition to develop an Application for Public Participation that will engage members of public to air views in regards to all parliamentary activities as provided for by the CONSTITUTION of KENYA.
All Kenyan citizens of ages between 18 to 35 years, with a strong background in mobile and web application development are encouraged to apply
