The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), formerly Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) is established under the Energy Act, 2006 as the energy sector regulatory agency, with responsibility for economic and technical regulation of electric power, renewable energy and downstream petroleum sub-sectors. This mandate includes tariff setting and review, licensing, enforcement of standards, dispute settlement and approval of power purchase and network service contracts. The management of the ERPA is vested with the board of commissioners which consist of; the Chairman, the Principal Secretary, State Department of Energy in the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, the Director General, and five other Commissioners. The Director General (DG) is the Chief Executive Officer. Under the DG is a team of professionals in the fields of engineering, law, economics, environmental science, finance, human resource management, procurement, ICT among others.
ERPA Youth Attachment/Internship Objective
The objective of the ERPA Youth Attachment/Internship is to develop youthful ability to take up employment opportunities in the energy, business and manufacturing sector. ERPA Youth Attachment /Internship provides an opportunity to gain on- the- job experience, increase knowledge, develop career goals and put together professional network.
The Commission is therefore inviting interested candidates from recognized universities and colleges to apply for internship, industrial attachment and apprenticeship placement.
Successful candidates will be placed in the following Departments or Sections;
Communications and Public affairs
Environment Health & Safety
Human Resources & Administration
Information Communication & Technology
Strategy, Planning and Performance

University/College Certificate or Completion Letter (for those who have completed and have not graduated)
A letter of recommendation for attachment from the learning institution (for continuing students)

A copy of the national identity card
Note that a valid copy of student accident cover will be required when starting the internship.

Should possess interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Must be computer literate
