SCOPE OF WORK
UNICEF KCO has recently completed risk analysis of our engagement with partners and one of the recommendations of the analysis was to ensure that KCO has complete list of bank accounts for all our implementing partners and that these accounts are opened with due authorization following the procedures and validated.
How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision and guidance of Fund Monitoring Officer, the intern will carry out the following tasks:
Input all the bank account information of implementing partners accurately from the partner registration information available in the Finance Section, using the template developed in excel format;
Coordinate with Finance Section to ensure that relevant files are reviewed to capture the above information;
With the support of the supervisor and relevant sections/zone offices, ensure that standard letters are prepared and sent out to the implementing partners through the outcome teams to obtain any missing information, particularly with regard to the authorization of bank account or any sub-accounts.
Responses received are verified and input the missing information to the database so as to ensure correct and complete information;
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounts or related fields or in the final year of university
Fluency in English is required.

UNICEF accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accident and/or illness incurred during the service as an intern, whether on or off UNICEF premises, and the intern must, therefore, provide proof of enrolment in a health/accident plan.
There is no expectancy of employment at the end of service as an intern.
UNICEF is not responsible for obtaining any necessary visas and that, therefore, the intern is responsible for obtaining them.
The intern will work from the UNICEF office in Gigiri, Nairobi.
